《生命恩泉》五週年千人宴籌得十五萬
千多名加拿大華人天主教徒出席了11月29日（星期日）在Le Parc會議和宴會中心舉行的《生命恩泉》五週年籌款晚宴，並為製作天主教電視電台節目籌得十五萬元。出席這個一年一度的盛會，除了神職人員和大多倫多市的教友外，更有來自京士頓、渥太華、滿地可、和溫哥華的朋友。  當「愛的恩泉」電台節目統籌Paul Tam宣佈該節目將由十二月五日起逢星期六晚上八時至九時在溫哥華的加拿大中文電台AM 1470播出時，在場人士都很雀躍，可說是晚宴高潮。另外，今年晚宴的口號是「福音傳揚齊有責， 五載恩泉滿恩澤」，《生命恩泉》統籌 Paul Yeung 在晚宴中強調福音傳播的迫切性，他引述最近一份報告，發現加拿大道德觀愈趨暗淡，並與天主教教理背道而馳。「現在，很多人都被扭曲的道德價值觀弄到很迷茫，所以我們要加快福傳工作的步伐，希望能與有共同目標的團體建立顆伴關係，同時訓練我們的義工做更有效的福傳者，並把這使命擴展到其他地方，例如温哥華。」Paul 說。他預料未來五年比過去的五年將要面對更多挑戰。籌款晚宴節目豐富，有音樂表演、抽獎、拍賣等，拍賣物品超過一百件，其中現場拍賣的一幅由齊白石入室弟子婁師白大師畫的「喜從天降」，以二千五百元賣出。很多未能出席的支持者都透過錄影片段為大會打氣，包括天主教香港教區湯漢主教和歌星葉麗儀小姐。 過去幾年，《生命恩泉》除了在「鹽與光電視」數碼電視頻道廣播外，更於今年一月開始在「新時代電視」播出，讓加拿大其他城市如溫哥華、滿地可、卡加利的華人觀眾也能收看。另外，他們亦同時推出「愛的恩泉」電台節目，每週於「加拿大中文電台」(AM1430 頻道) 播出，並將電視及電台節目上載網站 (www.FLL.cc) ，使在世界各地的人都能欣賞。今年九月，「生命恩泉」電視節目更進軍美國，在總部設於波士頓的寬頻天主教電視台Catholic TV播出。 《生命恩泉》主要由義工組成，節目製作經費全部來自各界善長及教友的熱心支持，每年的籌款晚宴更是他們主要的籌款來源之一。如有任何查詢或捐助，可溜灠網址 www.Fll.cc 或致電 416-206-4808 / 1-888-606-4808。 $150,000 raised for Chinese Catholics Media Evangelization Ministry
Over 1000 Chinese Catholics gathered at the Le Parc Conference & Banquet Centres last Sunday, November 29, to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Fountain of Love and Life (FLL) and $150,000 was raised to support the production of their Catholic television and radio programs.  Everyone present was very excited when Paul Tam, coordinator for FLL Radio Program, announced the launch of their program in Vancouver, beginning December 5, at Fairchild Radio (AM 1470) every Saturday from 8-9pm. Echoing this year’s Gala slogan that encourages every Catholic to evangelize, Paul Yeung, overall coordinator of FLL, stressed the urgency of affirming Christian values in the prevailing gloomy Canadian morality landscape featured in a recent magazine report. “That puts urgency in our work, and we need to act fast. Our strategy is to form partnerships with other groups with the same vision, and at the same time, train our volunteers to become effective evangelists and to branch out to new locations like Vancouver.” He said. Paul anticipated that the coming five years will be more challenging compared with the past five years. The evening was fully packed with programs including music performances, raffle draw, auctions, etc. Over 100 items were up for silent auction and a painting by a renowned Chinese artist, Master Lou Shibai, fetched $2,500 at the live auction. Supporters who could not be present also sent their greetings, including the Bishop of Hong Kong, the Most Rev. John Tong and celebrity singer Ms. Frances Yip.  Fountain of Love and Life (FLL) is the Chinese programming ministry of Salt +Light Television, Canada’s national Catholic television station. In the past few years, apart from broadcasting via S+L TV, FLL has also begun broadcasting on Fairchild TV this January so Chinese people from different cities like Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary can watch their programs. At the same time, FLL also launched a weekly radio program on Fairchild Radio (AM 1430) and made available all programs on the internet (www.FLL.cc) to people around the world. This September, FLL also made inroads into USA through launching its programs on Catholic TV, a broadband Catholic television station based in Boston. The FLL ministry is mainly run by a group of dedicated volunteers and its operation relies 100% on donations. This annual fund raising gala is therefore one of their most important events.
